Are You Numbing Yourself To Your Emotions

Emotional numbness is when you shut yourself and lock your emotions away deep down inside you. This numbness can take your ability to think, feel, and react to situations as you should. Emotional numbness can be a symptom of mental health conditions including depression, Persistent Depressive Disorder (PDD), or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

People with emotional numbness don’t feel emotions – good or bad, and that feeling can affect their ability to function normally in the long-term. Any event or situation can cause a person to shut themselves to emotion. And while numbing emotions can garner temporary relief, it can ultimately lead you to feel any kind of emotion in the future.

With this, listen to our next episode on – Are You Numbing Yourself To Your Emotions? How to understand emotional numbness and how to overcome it.
