Do you also ask why I am tired all the time? Why do I feel a lack of energy? If so, you are not alone. Many women feel this way. They think they are energy drained and tired most of the time due to their busy personal, social, and professional life.

This is why they don’t pay attention and give excuses to continue until their body and mind give up. Suppose you feel tired and lack energy even after a good night’s sleep when you eat healthy or are physically active.

In that case, it’s time you pay attention to yourself and take action so that your mental and physical well-being is handled.

Reasons Why Women Feel Fatigued

Female fatigue is often related to the mensuration cycle, pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, and menopause. But no one pays attention to other common reasons like lack of sleep disturbance in circadian rhythm, thyroid anemia, stress, and depression.

Here, we list the most common reasons and fixes females can use to overcome their lack of energy.

1. Lack of enough sleep

Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night to feel energetic, but they don’t get this due to a busy schedule, overthinking, or getting involved in different activities.

This is especially true for women, as they cater to everybody else’s needs and forget that their bodies also need rest. Therefore, if you lack energy, stick to a sleep schedule. Go to bed at the same time and wake up around the same time.

2. Out-of-sync circadian rhythm

When the body’s internal circadian clock is out of rhythm, feeling a lack of energy and tiredness is common. This can happen due to the night shift, trying to change your chronotype: Say you are a night person, but you try to become a morning person. You have an irregular sleep cycle, social jet lag, and other problems.

When you overlook this dysregulation of the circadian clock, there is a natural dip in energy, and you feel worse. To overcome it, you need to see when your body wants to wake up and go to sleep. Sink your sleep schedule but time and take it, even if it is a weekend.

3. Depression or stress

Depression, anxiety, and stress are directly related to fatigue. When there is some sort of emotional stress, the body releases cortisol, which leads to physical symptoms like weight gain and an inadequately weak immune system in women.

This is common because women think a lot and are, most of the time, under emotional stress. To overcome this, they must practice relaxation techniques like meditation and mindfulness exercises, do something they like, and pay attention to what their body tells them.

4. Insomnia or sleep apnea

Sleep disorders like snoring, sleep apnea, and restless leg syndrome can also be the reason for female fatigue.

Due to the mensuration cycle, girls are more prone to the risk of insomnia. This can be before or during the periods as the level of iron drops due to heavy periods.

Restless legs in syndrome causes a disturbance in sleep also if a person is overweight, it might not, which can cause sleep apnea. Additionally, when women are stressed, sleep is mostly affected as they overthink about the problems and make themselves one river to insomnia

5. Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, you might also feel tired and lack energy. This is because you develop sleep disorders, breathing problems, or insomnia during this time. Heartburn, cramps, and back pain also make it difficult to fall asleep.

Aside from that, morning sickness can also make you feel low. All this leads to feeling low energy as your body is not getting the rest it requires.

6. Poor diet

Food filled with carbs also makes you feel fatigued after a short while of having them. As the female body loses a lot of nutrients during periods, the requirement needs to be fulfilled by eating healthy. Yet, due to their busy schedule, most women skip eating food filled with nutrients and go for easy things, such as sugar starts and refined grains.

This makes them feel low on energy. You need to eat a balanced diet combining complex carbs, protein, fat, and veggies to fix it. This will boost your energy level and keep you physically and mentally healthy.

7. Nutritional deficiency

If you miss out on essential minerals and vitamins, you will feel fatigued. Generally, women have a deficiency of iron vitamins D, C, and B12. This all happens due to heavy periods, pregnancy, and age.

This deficiency causes tiredness and lack of energy and can even affect sleep. To overcome these deficiencies, you should consult a nutritionist and get the supplements prescribed by the doctor to minimize the need for help.

8. Too much coffee intake

Caffeine keeps you up past bedtime. It disturbs your sleep and even keeps you awake. It is not only a hit of low energy, but it even causes other problems.

It makes you sleep-deprived and makes you addicted to it, so you need to consume a cup or less. Moreover, try to avoid cafe intake 12 hours before bed. This will help you have a good night’s sleep.

What is the difference between tiredness and sleepiness?

Most people think both are the same; it’s just that we call them with different names, but they’re the same thing.

Tiredness occurs when one feels fatigued due to a lack of sleep, and sleepiness occurs when one can fall asleep even during the day.

Conditions make one feel low on energy; however, when a person feels sleepy by taking a power nap or sleeping in the fields, it is energetic, whereas tiredness lingers even after a good night’s sleep.

Overcome Fatigue

Fatigue is a result of several reasons. Some conditions that cause fatigue in women are thyroid, lack of iron, stress, depression, anxiety, menstruation cycle, menopause, etc.

However, by taking care of your body, eating healthy, doing some meditation, mindfulness, exercising, getting proper sleep, and bringing some lifestyle changes, the feeling of improve and you can feel much more energetic if you experience continuous, and that’s affecting your quality of life it’s time you talk to a medical professional who can understand the reason and guide you to live an energetic life
