When we think of fear many thoughts surround us from situations that we have faced or the circumstances we have created in our mind. For others, they may also have some fearful approach towards any consequences.

The word fear is considered as a negative emotion and everyone wants to stay away from fear at least a distance to eternity. But through this blog, I am going to transform your fear into a brighter side. In addition to this you will also going to understand some positive side of the emotion “Fear” or how fear is good for our health?

Reason 1- Fear Keeps You Safe!

We know fear is confusing emotions as it gives you multiple feelings at a time. For instance, I went bungee jumping and I was scared, and nervous. For a moment I felt numbness in my body and because of fear I assured that the bungee cord, metal links and other equipment are fitted correctly!

And Boom! It was a surreal experience.  I shared this experience with you to make you understand the benefit of fear that a fear keeps you safe, if I didn’t give attention to my bungee cord, then mishap may have happened, I was fearful so I dragged my attention to the complete procedure.

There are some other examples too that you are also facing with day to day life and learn about the role of nature in promoting our mental health

Reason 2- Fear Is Clear!

Fear gives you clarity to understand what is important to you. You will start having clarity related to your life, business, profession or career. Once you gain the clarity, you will understand its importance and start to act accordingly. For example, if your married life is falling apart you will start taking care of the most important things in your life. Why? It’s because you don’t want to lose your partner. It’s a sense of fear that kicked in you.

Reason 3- Fear Is Energy

When we are in fear, many hormones are released such as adrenaline, endorphins, serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. All of these hormones are important as they impact on our brain to work more effectively.

Whenever fear strikes you, when you have started to go through various accomplishments and goals, you will feel energetic! It will feel like a power, you have generated enough energy within yourself that will help you to get what you want.

Reason 4- Fear Is Exciting!

Have you ever tried to take a step out from your comfort zone? If not, try it now you will experience a dose of energy, thrill and excitement! Most beautiful benefit of Fear is, it makes you feel alive and energetic. You know, excitement helps to increase adrenaline level that increases your arousal and energy.

But everything has their set limits, similarly a little dose of fear is needed to make your life more exciting. and You can read about boost your self-esteem

According to  Coventry University, United Kingdom, they conducted an experiment with a horror flick. They took blood samples of all the participants to understand the before and after effect. According to the results, when you feel fear it triggers the white blood cells. These white blood cells are responsible for fighting disease and repairing your body after the effect of any illness. Hence, next time whenever you are getting scared of anything, remind yourself “Oh! My immune system is getting boosted up!!”
