Positive Psychology When Life Gives You Lemons

We’re all familiar with the “when life gives you lemons” phrase to express our views towards a negative situation. This is the most common or basic phrase to motivate someone like, “when life gives you lemons make lemonade.”

Maybe, this phrase looks catchy and motivating but along with this, positive psychology has to do a lot. Well, with positive psychology when life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade, tart, mojito, and whatnot. It all depends on the perspective of the situation. This blog tells you how to handle situations with a positive mindset and positive psychology. So, let’s get started.

To begin with, let me tell you that being resilient is so important.

Integrate between resiliently unique and uniquely resilient

Integrate between resiliently unique and uniquely resilient

When life is giving you lemons, the art of resiliently unique and uniquely resilient comes in. during the research, I found that the capability of experiencing gratitude amid all the hardships is required to uniquely fight all the circumstances.

Psychologists say that “there is something magical about our human ability to face difficulties and yet still embrace life.” resilience is something which is god-gifted or either you develop; it totally depends on what personality, character, mental strengths, and genetics you carry. But, most importantly it depends on what individuality or uniqueness you carry. Bouncing back and the capability to cope show how unique you are when it comes to being resilient in negative situations.

When life gives you lemons, make sure your resiliency tells you to be unique and make something good out of it. Positivity and resiliency show a lot towards your personality. Therefore, always carry a unique one!

The perfect balance between trauma and triumphs

Positive psychology depends on how uniquely you glow or bounce when something badly strikes your life. We all need to hear that, there is no smooth path and we all have to face challenges and difficulties to reach our desired goals.

To reach the desired goals, we should learn to balance the struggle and happiness both at the same time. This balance is the reason why so many of us appeared to triumph over suffering. Learning the art to calm down amid all chaos is needed to maintain the balance between triumph and traumas. Amid mental strengths, finding the purpose of life to overcome all negative situations is also required to maintain the perfect balance. Personally speaking, when life gave me lemons, I had no control over my emotions but my therapist taught me the subtle art of detachment which became my superpower.

What it takes to be resilient

What it takes to be resilient

Positive psychology teaches us how to be hard-wired to overcome all the circumstances and difficulties. It tells us how to cope with the hard times and flourish more even when life gives you lemons. You may not observe but each challenge and overcome teaches us the attributes to become a better version of ourselves.

My mom recently taught me that “once we reach a certain age, we are going to realize that life is a constant path of lurching from one crisis to another crisis.” But, living life to the fullest with all love and gratitude is the way we become better and resilient. It does not matter if the triumphs were big or small, learning from the situations, accepting the situations or flaws, and detaching ourselves from the negativities makes good lemonade from the sour lemons. In this way, when life gives you lemons you can make a better lemonade or a good recipe out of it.
